For many the only reason to exist is to ultimately wind up in this special place which is referred to as Heaven. If the keeper of the gates was only admitting those who had a track record of responsible behavior before they came he would be out of business. One of the traditional definitions of Heaven is; The abode of God, the angels, and the souls who have been granted salvation. b, An eternal state of communion with God; everlasting bliss. The basic concept of it being in the clouds or out there somewhere. Word games, theolosophical games and mind games, little wonder all the confusion. All the great teachers tried to tell us we have a perceptual problem. All our physical earthbound sensory inputs tell us we are here. In being here we experience a wide range of events and sensory input, some being joyful and others quite painful. Our need for a Heaven is the desire to eliminate the painful aspects and heighten the joy. In every experience when we feel pain, we want out of here. On the otherhand no person would ever consider leaving while experiencing joy. Consider the possibility that you are already in Heaven and you don't realize it. Consider the possibility that you are an eternal part of creator and of creation just having an individuated experience. Most concepts of Heaven in their profuse and eloquent descriptions only add to the confusion for one reason, most externalize its existence. Our perceptions are influenced by our perspectives. Look at every experience with wonder and opportunity being revealed to you. The ones that bring pain are quite possibly teaching you the most. Those of joy and pleasure are the end result of every experience. For all practical purposes while you are here, you might as well assume you are already in Heaven and make the most of it. |
