There Is Absolutely Nothing Wrong ! Pardon the trickery. If you read the message and panicked you are in a state of stress while working with your computer and also misinterpreted the messages. The message was not about the computer at all. It plainly stated two positive things, even though an error had occurred in your operating system and if you failed to follow the instructions you would start operating perfectly. We often see and don't understand. Most often we assume the worst and expect only the obvious. The state of stress related to working with computers, even for those who are very familiar with them is always rather high. Computers are tedious and prone to producing anguishing results, crashing or wiping out a lot of hard work that the average user cannot remedy. The computer is a very un-natural work medium that also produces an inordinate amount of physical stress, especially for the eyes, neck, back, shoulders, arms, hands and fingers. The less obvious is the pulsating high frequency magnetic fields emanated by the monitor, keyboard and mouse. One of the most helpful little bits of information is that most people position the monitor about six inches too low and are always looking down at the keyboard. It is easy enough to raise the monitor but a lot harder to learn to touch type. Almost anyone can do simple stress relieving stretching and movements to relieve physical tension and sneak an extra break now and then. The real impossibility would be to get software designers to actually make their programs truly more user friendly and foolproof. By now you may be wondering what are the spiritual aspects of computers. About the only thing I can think of is the amazing ability they have for opening boundless communications with others and access to virtually unlimited information almost instantly worldwide. |
